Cody supplied the structural steel and miscellaneous metals for Sand Island Waste water treatment plant in Hawaii. A challenge was coating the truss web members for the Membrane Bioreactor Canopy. The truss design had back to back angles with a small space between them that could not be accessed for blasting and painting. We identified the issue prior to fabrication and worked with the design team to find a coating system that would wrap around the tiny space. We ended up going
with Galvanized steel followed by paint.
